Come on a walk to enjoy the Fall scenes of Bald Eagle State Park! Join the park naturalist for a hike, out-and-back, on the Woapalanne Trail as it hugs the lake edge. We should have a perfect view of the colorful Bald Eagle Mountain and will walk about 3.5 miles total. The group will make frequent stops to discuss plants, animals, and wildlife signs that pop up along the way. This hike is rated easy, but the terrain could be wet in some spots. Please bring a water bottle & dress for the weather.
Free to attend, open to all ages, and friendly dogs welcome. No registration required.
Meeting place: Pavilion 6 in the Beach Area.
5,900-acre park on the 1,730-acre Foster Joseph Sayers Lake at the foot of Bald Eagle Mountain. Two campgrounds, beach, boat launches, and the LEED Gold Nature Inn. Best birding in the valley.
