Join the park naturalist in our Native Plant Garden & Colonial Garden one last time in 2026! In celebration of America's 250th Anniversary, we have planted a sample colonial garden containing plants that would have been used during the Revolutionary War period and earlier. We will give tours of our small Colonial Garden on rotation throughout the program period. The group will also have the opportunity to learn about the importance of native species in PA and discuss some plants that are part of the garden collection.
If participants want to volunteer, they can assist in maintaining our Native Plant Garden by weeding. Feel free to bring hand trowels, weeders, or whatever tools you feel comfortable using.
Meeting place: Environmental Learning Center, below the Main Park Office.
