Haunted Lake Loop Trail

Ready to be scared?!? The Haunted Lake Loop Hike will take place on October 3 at Black Moshannon State Park. Enjoy a good scare and some laughs. Candy will be available at the end of the walk for children. **This may not be suitable for anyone that scares easily. Meet at the beach. The Lake Loop is a 3/4 mile flat trail, which has some roots crossing it.

Donations will be accepted. The registration table will be at the beach house, where liability forms will need to be signed. Each person will get a wrist band once the form is signed. You must have the wrist band to get in line.

Save some time waiting in line! Register early at the park office on October 3 from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. You would sign the liability forms, get your wrist bands for the event, then be able to skip the registration line the day of the event.

The Friends of Black Moshannon will have finger lights available for a donation. Please use those, red lights, or glow sticks for the hike. Please don’t use bright white lights on the trail.

The walks will start at 7:00 pm. The walk line will be closed at 9:00 pm. This means you can show up anytime between 6 pm and 9 pm to get in line.

There will be a campfire on the beach to enjoy while waiting to go on the hike. Marshmallows will be available to roast while they last.

There is parking at beach parking lot and Boat Launch #1. Additional is available near the Environmental Learning Center, by the camp store, and Boat Rental Area.

This is a family event. Destroying props and hitting or kicking volunteers will not be tolerated. Alcohol is prohibited in the park.
